SA AIDS Conference
Posted by Openly Positive in News, Talks
In April, Elaine Maane and Derrick Fine facilitated a satellite session Telling stories of positive lives at the 4th Southern African AIDS Conference in Durban. The session illustrated story-telling as a way of promoting positive living and the visibility of people living with HIV, and encouraged participants to contribute to the next Openly Positive book – a diverse short story collection from South Africa and the African continent.
Elaine also addressed the SA AIDS Conference final plenary session on Scale up – Can we wait?, focusing on the urgency of increased access to treatment for people living with HIV.
